My name is Sensei Michael Paredes and I am the Chief instructor for the Warrior Martial Arts school at Transformation Life Church 190 Valley Blvd., Wood-Ridge, NJ 07075

Since 2007 I have been training at the Center For Karate & Family Fitness school in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ under the leadership of Grandmaster/Dr. Juan Otero and Sensei Dale Inglima. Like everyone else, I started my training as a “nyumonsha” or beginner, having no prior martial arts experience. With consistent dedication and training, I was able to achieve my Black Belt in 2013, followed by my 2nd Degree Black Belt in 2015, and my 3rd Degree Black Belt in 2018 along with the title of Sensei, or teacher of the arts. I am, however, still a student under my Senior Senseis and am consistently looking to learn, grow, and achieve greater goals.

I have been a life-long resident of Bergen County. In addition, I graduated from Nyack College and the Culinary Institute of America, receiving my BS degree in Business and AOS degree in Occupational Studies, respectively. I am a proud veteran of the US Air Force, receiving my Honorable Discharge at the rank of Sergeant.

I, along with my wife and daughter, attend Bethany Church in Wyckoff, NJ. and Transformation Life Church in Wood-Ridge, NJ. I have served in various leadership positions, including: Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Small Group Facilitator, where we encourage and promote faith, family, and friends.

I am honored to begin this journey at our new martial arts school at Transformation Life Church and hope you will begin your martial arts training with us.
